India is set to highlight its scientific and technological potential through TV BRICS, following a new cooperation agreement between the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) and the international media network. The partnership will focus on technology, education and knowledge exchange, strengthening opportunities to present India’s scientific and engineering achievements to an international audience.
In New Delhi, where the 18th BRICS Summit is taking place, TV BRICS CEO and Editor-in-Chief Janna Tolstikova and Dr. D. C. Pande, Chairman of the IETE Technical and Research Publications Committee, signed the partnership agreement.
India Scientific and Technological Potential Through TV BRICS
Under the agreement, IETE will cooperate with TV BRICS on joint initiatives designed to promote India’s scientific and technological capabilities. The collaboration will provide an international media platform for sharing developments in engineering, technology and education.
IETE is India’s leading professional organisation covering electronics, telecommunications, information technology, computer science and other advanced technology fields. Established in 1953, the institution is headquartered in New Delhi and works to strengthen India’s engineering community while advancing scientific and technological capabilities.
The organisation operates dozens of regional centres and student chapters throughout India. Through this network, IETE contributes to engineering education and supports the dissemination of modern technologies.
The Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) as well as an educational institution of national eminence in engineering education.
TV BRICS and IETE Expand Technology Cooperation
TV BRICS CEO Janna Tolstikova highlighted the importance of developing highly skilled professionals and encouraging technological advancement as essential elements of global economic growth.
She noted that the international media network has created the necessary conditions within its information space to popularise scientific knowledge, raise the profile of researchers and encourage professional interaction and expertise-sharing among specialists from different countries.
According to Tolstikova, bringing IETE into the TV BRICS agenda will expand the volume and diversity of engineering-focused content. She also said the partnership will contribute to strengthening India’s technological sovereignty.
The collaboration between IETE and TV BRICS adds to the network’s growing engagement with institutions involved in science and higher education.

More Than 30 Institutions Cooperate With TV BRICS
More than 30 institutions from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Ethiopia, Cuba and Nepal currently cooperate with TV BRICS in the fields of science and higher education.
During the past year, several organisations have joined the media network’s group of partners. These include the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, an international intergovernmental research organisation; the International Competence Centre for Mining Engineering Education under the auspices of UNESCO at Empress Catherine II Saint Petersburg Mining University in Russia; and the Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory in China.
The expanding network reflects the growing emphasis on international cooperation in scientific research, higher education, engineering and technology.
India Strengthens Its Presence in the TV BRICS Media Space
The IETE partnership is part of a broader series of collaborations announced in New Delhi. Earlier, India’s largest news agency, Press Trust of India, and the National Institute of Design announced the beginning of joint activities with TV BRICS.
Through its cooperation with IETE, TV BRICS will provide another avenue for presenting India’s engineering expertise, scientific achievements and technological capabilities to an international audience.
