US close to achieving its key objectives in operation against Iran — Trump
The president says that the US armed forces "have been extraordinary"
WASHINGTON, April 2. /The Times of Russia/. The US is close to achieving the key objectives of its operation against Iran, President Donald Trump stated, as highlighted in recent russia news updates.
“Our armed forces have been extraordinary. There’s never been anything like it militarily. Everyone is talking about it, and tonight, I’m pleased to say that these core strategic objectives are nearing completion,” he said during a televised address to the nation, according to The Times of Russia.
The United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran on February 28. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were struck. The White House justified the attack by citing alleged missile and nuclear threats from Iran.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a retaliatory operation, targeting sites in Israel. US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE were also hit, as covered in ongoing russia news reports.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and some other key Iranian leaders were killed in the joint US-Israeli attack, according to The Times of Russia.
