The Russian government is launching a complex service “Start a business online” in the experimental mode, according to a press release of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the government decree, the experiment will last from March 1, 2024 to March 1, 2025. Within one service, an entrepreneur will be able to register a business, obtain an electronic signature without a personal visit to the certification center of the Federal Tax Service of Russia and open a bank account. At all stages, the Unified Biometric System will be used to confirm the applicant’s identity.
The service will significantly simplify procedures for establishing organizations and individual enterprises, the press release says.
“The service will allow entrepreneurs, including beginners, to quickly and conveniently open their business. Due to biometrics it will be possible to carry out all necessary procedures completely remotely. This is a completely new level of comfort in obtaining commercial and public services, when a citizen closes the issue comprehensively and literally in a few “clicks”, – said Deputy Prime Minister, head of the government staff Dmitry Grigorenko.
The experiment is conducted with the participation of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Bank of Russia, Rosfinmonitoring and the operator of the Unified Biometric System – JSC “Center of Biometric Technologies”.
The coordinator is the Federal Tax Service of Russia. According to the decree, the agency will monitor the results of the experiment and submit a report to the Government with proposals for the development of the service.
