Russia’s Deputy PM Denis Manturov to Undertake Strategic Visit to India
High-Level Meetings to Strengthen Russia-India Economic and Cultural Ties
New Delhi – Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Denis Manturov, is set to arrive in India on Monday for an important two-day visit focused on enhancing the long-standing partnership between Russia and India. The visit will involve key discussions with India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, as well as meetings aimed at fostering collaboration in business, science, technology, and culture.
Manturov will begin his visit in Mumbai on November 11, where he will participate in the Russian-Indian Business Forum’s plenary session. Organized by the Business Council for Cooperation with India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the forum will bring together prominent entrepreneurs and industry leaders from both nations. The agenda includes discussions on industrial cooperation, logistics, finance, digital innovation, and regional connections, with the goal of expanding economic ties.
On November 12, Manturov will travel to New Delhi to co-chair the 25th session of the Intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation with Dr. Jaishankar. The session is expected to review progress on current projects and outline future areas of collaboration that align with both nations’ strategic goals.
The Russian Embassy has also announced that Manturov will engage in a series of bilateral meetings during his stay, underscoring Russia’s commitment to a robust and multi-dimensional partnership with India.
This visit follows recent diplomatic engagements, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attendance at the BRICS Summit in Kazan last month, hosted under Russia’s presidency, as well as his visit to Moscow in July for the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit with President Vladimir Putin. These interactions continue to strengthen the historical bond and strategic alliance between the two countries.
