Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has defended his position on the Donald Tusk Nord Stream sabotage controversy, saying those responsible for building the pipelines should be held accountable rather than those who destroyed them. Donald Tusk Nord Stream Sabotage Position

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk believes Germany should not prosecute individuals accused of involvement in the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage involving the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.

According to TVP World, Tusk said he continues to stand by his position and argued that those who constructed the pipeline should be ashamed, rather than those who subsequently put it out of operation.

“I am not changing my mind on the subject and I believe that those who built this pipeline should be ashamed, and not those who put it out of operation,” the channel quoted him as saying.

Nord Stream Pipeline Sabotage Investigation

The Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 explosions remain the subject of an investigation in Germany. According to a statement from the German Prosecutor General’s Office, a Ukrainian citizen presumed to be involved in the explosions of the Nord Stream gas pipelines was detained in the Croatian city of Pula.

The development comes amid continued attention surrounding the Germany Nord Stream investigation and the circumstances surrounding the damage to the pipelines.

On September 26, 2022, unprecedented damage was reported on three lines of the Nord Stream pipeline as well as the unfinished Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
