Russia and Belarus Strengthen Ties with New Agreements at the Kremlin

Moscow, March 13, 2025  – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko  concluded high-level negotiations in Moscow, reinforcing the strategic alliance between the two nations. The talks, held in the Kremlin, resulted in a joint statement  and the signing of several key agreements aimed at strengthening economic, security, and cultural cooperation.

Marking his first foreign visit since re-election, Lukashenko’s trip underscored the special relationship between Russia and Belarus. Putin welcomed his counterpart warmly, emphasising the historical, cultural, and strategic bonds that unite the two countries.

“Belarus and Russia are not only close neighbour’s but also reliable allies, strategic partners, and true friends,” Putin stated.

The discussions covered a broad spectrum of bilateral cooperation, including economic development, defence coordination, cultural exchanges, and humanitarian initiatives.

The leaders also addressed pressing international and regional issues, reaffirming their stance on mutual interests in global geopolitics.
