Cannes Spotlight: Adam Yandiev’s Transition from Athlete to Actor

Dr. Sergei Dvorianov: Good afternoon, Mr. Yandiev. It’s a pleasure to have you with us today at the Cannes Film Festival. How are you finding the experience so far?

Adam Yandiev: At the Cannes Film Festival, I felt the magic and atmosphere of art that enveloped me from the first minutes.
Great films, exciting premieres, talented directors and actors created a unique atmosphere in which everyone could feel part of this world of art.
Walking along the red carpet, I met with festival participants discussed recent film works with other festival participants.
Every day was filled with events and impressions that will stay with me for many years. The Cannes Film Festival is not just a film event, it is a real cultural phenomenon that can captivate and inspire everyone who attends it.

Dr. Sergei Dvorianov: You are known for your impressive sports career as well as your acting achievements. How to balance these two demanding areas?

Adam Yandiev: My athletic achievements and acting skills take center stage in my life and I try to balance them as best I can. Sports train my body, and teach me endurance, discipline and the desire to achieve goals, and acting will develop my emotional and creative abilities, allowing me to express myself through different roles and characters. Both areas require maximum dedication and self-discipline from me, but it is in this balance that I find harmony and satisfaction.

Dr. Sergei Dvorianov: Your transition from sports to acting was quite remarkable. What inspired you to make this shift?

Adam Yandiev: My transition from sports to acting was quite remarkable))) Although I’m not rich at the moment) But I always felt a craving for creativity and strived for something new and interesting.
I achieved certain results in sports, but one day I realized that my passion for acting was no less than sports. The experience of working with my dear friend, director and actor Andrei Sokolov, my communication with Fyodor Bondarchuk, his view of me as an actor motivated me. .I felt that it was in the acting profession that I could reveal myself in a real way and give people a piece of my soul. This shift was conscious and accepted with full dedication, and I know that I will not regret it.

Dr. Sergei Dvorianov: Can you tell us about the project that brought you to Cannes this year?

Adam Yandiev: The main reason that brought me to the Cannes Film Festival today was not a role in a movie, but my new project, which has already been launched and is directly connected with Hollywood stars. What kind of project?, you will find out in the near future.

Dr. Sergei Dvorianov: What was your most memorable moment at the festival

Adam Yandiev:For me, the Cannes Festival as a whole is one grand, colorful moment of celebration of world achievements in cinema, music, theater, sports, etc. I was invited here directly by the organizer and had the honor of attending a closed auction party, the proceeds from which were transferred to the children. For me, a person who has a charitable foundation, this is very interesting, since under our patronage for several years now one of the boarding schools with orphans and difficult teenagers has been under our patronage.

Dr. Sergei Dvorianov: What advice would you give to young athletes who are thinking about a career in acting?

Adam Yandiev: My advice to young athletes who are thinking about a career in acting is not to be afraid of new challenges and to pursue their dreams with determination and confidence. A successful athlete has all the necessary qualities for a successful acting career – discipline, perseverance, and the desire for excellence. It is important to diversify your talents and not stop there. Also, do not forget about professional education and internships in acting studios. It is important to learn from experienced masters and constantly improve your skills. Be prepared for challenges and don’t limit yourself to limits – this is how you can succeed in the acting industry.

Dr. Sergei Dvorianov: What are your plans after the Cannes Film Festival? Any upcoming projects you can share with us?

Adam Yandiev:The first thing is that I have plans to develop my project, which I have already talked about with Hollywood stars.
The second project associated with French actors
