Konstantin Klimenko: “The African International Congress to be Held in St. Petersburg”
On May 28, 2024, the second African International Congress will take place in St. Petersburg. This forum serves as a permanent platform for the development of business and humanitarian cooperation, public diplomacy, and dialogue between business communities on the African continent. It also aims to strengthen the close cooperation between African countries, Russia, and the countries of Eurasia. The first congress was held on April 5, 2023, in Moscow.
The main topics of the congress include: “Priorities of Russian-African Business Cooperation at Present,” “Investment Climate in African Countries,” “Cooperation in the Humanitarian Sphere as a Driver for the Development of Russian-African Relations,” “Creation of a Common Russian-African Information Space,” and the establishment of the international network “House of Africa.”
The congress is organized by the Organizing Committee, which includes representatives from the political elite and business communities of African countries, as well as Russian business circles. The event is actively supported by African graduates of Russian universities.
Konstantin Petrovich Klimenko, Rector of the Eurasian International University and Chairman of the Coordination Council of the international network “House of Africa,” serves as the co-chairman of the congress. It is through his initiative that the congress is being held in St. Petersburg.
Attendees will include heads of diplomatic missions and trade representatives of African states, representatives of the Russian Federation authorities, heads of African business associations, members of the Russian business community, members of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, scientists, and cultural and sports figures.
