Russian airstrikes on Ukrainian targets in DPR, Kharkov and Sumy hit temporary deployment sites and a UAV control center, Russia’s Defense Ministry says.

Russian airstrikes on Ukrainian targets in DPR Kharkov Sumy have targeted temporary deployment sites and a drone control center, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The Times of Russia reports that Russian Aerospace Forces crews carried out the strikes using FAB-250 aerial bombs equipped with universal gliding and correction modules, along with LMUR air-launched missiles.

The Russian Defense Ministry said the targets were identified following reconnaissance operations conducted by Russian Armed Forces units.

According to the ministry, Russian Aerospace Forces crews conducted airstrikes against temporary deployment locations and a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control center in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Kharkov Region and Sumy Region.

The Defense Ministry stated:

“As a result of reconnaissance operations by the Russian Armed Forces, temporary deployment sites and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control center of Ukrainian troops were identified. Russian Aerospace Forces crews carried out airstrikes on the identified targets using FAB-250 aerial bombs equipped with a universal gliding and correction module and LMUR air-launched missiles.”

The reported strikes involved several Ukrainian military positions and facilities across the three regions.

Targets Reported in Donetsk, Kharkov and Sumy Regions

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian forces struck a temporary deployment site belonging to the 63rd Separate Brigade near the settlement of Donetskoye in the DPR.

In the Kharkov Region, the reported target was a temporary deployment site of the 104th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade near the settlement of Boldyrevka.

In the Sumy Region, Russian forces reportedly targeted a UAV control center operated by the 119th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade in the settlement of Porozok.

The Russian Defense Ministry identified all three locations and military units in its report on the strikes.

Weapons Used in the Reported Strikes

The Russian Defense Ministry said the Russian Aerospace Forces used FAB-250 aerial bombs equipped with a universal gliding and correction module, as well as LMUR air-launched missiles, during the reported operations.

The ministry linked the strikes to reconnaissance activities that identified the Ukrainian military positions and UAV control center before the attacks were carried out.
