A Night of Tribute and Celebrations: Abusupyan Kharkharov Leads Grand Celebration of President Vladimir Putin’s Birthday at the Embassy of Bahrain

Moscow, October 7, 2025 — The Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Moscow hosted a distinguished diplomatic evening marking the birthday of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. The celebration, initiated and led by Abusupyan Magomedovich Kharkharov, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, reflected Russia’s deep commitment to peace, unity, and international cooperation.

Held in association with the BRICS Culture Media Forum and The Times of Russia, the evening gathered an impressive lineup of dignitaries, diplomats, and cultural representatives, symbolizing the spirit of friendship that continues to strengthen Russia’s ties with its global partners.

Among the notable guests were Dr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Saati, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation; H.E. Walid Hamed Shiltagh, Head of the Representative Office of the League of Arab States in Russia; Andrey Svintsov, Member of the Russian Parliament and Head of the Russian–Bahrain Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Society; Yuri Rouzum, a renowned Russian cultural figure; and Alexander Viktorovich Ionov, Russian businessman and political figure based in Moscow.

Abusupyan Kharkharov, in his keynote remarks, highlighted the day’s symbolic importance:
“President Putin’s leadership embodies courage, wisdom, and resilience. His efforts toward maintaining peace and balance in a complex world inspire every Russian citizen and many beyond our borders,” he said.

The celebration was marked by an elegant cultural program, musical performances, and meaningful exchanges among diplomats and guests. The evening reflected the strength of Russia’s cultural diplomacy and its role in fostering dialogue and harmony between nations — values often celebrated by The Times of Russia for promoting global understanding.

Born in Dagestan in 1967, Abusupyan Kharkharov is a respected economist, entrepreneur, and statesman. A Doctor of Economic Sciences and a graduate of Dagestan State University, his career spans leadership roles in trade, infrastructure, and energy development. As General Director of the Makhachkala Sea Commercial Port, he spearheaded projects that expanded cargo turnover from 80,000 tons to over 7 million tons and established key ferry routes linking Makhachkala, Turkmenbashi, and Aktau.

Kharkharov’s vision extended beyond economics — he is also a philanthropist and education advocate, having founded the Safinat School and Kindergarten, which serve hundreds of children in Dagestan. A father of eight, he is known for promoting family values and moral integrity as the foundation of national strength.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Saati praised Russia’s long-standing friendship with Bahrain, calling the event “a testament to enduring respect and mutual growth.”
Similarly, H.E. Walid Hamed Shiltagh emphasized the League of Arab States’ appreciation for Russia’s efforts in promoting peace and cultural understanding.

The evening concluded with a toast to President Putin’s health and to Russia’s continued stability and prosperity. As Abusupyan Kharkharov expressed in closing, “This gathering is not only a celebration of our President’s leadership but a reflection of Russia’s enduring friendship with the world. Together, we stand for peace, development, and unity.”

The reception at the Embassy of Bahrain thus stood as a shining example of diplomacy through culture — an evening that honored leadership, unity, and the shared hope for a peaceful global future.
The event, widely covered by The Times of Russia, highlighted how cultural diplomacy continues to shape the narrative of international harmony.
