Taganrog came under a massive missile attack overnight, with three fires reported across the city, Mayor Svetlana Kambulova said.
“Three fires broke out. Emergency services are working at the affected sites,” Kambulova wrote on Max, describing the incident as another major enemy attack on the city.
Emergency crews are currently working at the affected locations. Officials have not reported any casualties following the Taganrog missile attack.
Damage Reported Across Residential Areas
According to Kambulova, the massive missile attack on Taganrog damaged windows in five apartment buildings and three private houses.
A special commission is scheduled to begin assessing the damage in the morning. The assessment will determine the extent of the reported damage to residential properties.
The incident has affected several parts of the city, with emergency services continuing their work following the attack.
Rostov Region Governor Reports Further Damage
Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar had earlier confirmed that Taganrog was subjected to a massive missile attack overnight.
Slyusar said no casualties had been reported. However, the Taganrog attack caused damage to warehouses belonging to agricultural businesses and Russian e-commerce company Ozon.
The attack also damaged windows at residential buildings, an educational institution and a commercial building. A gas pipe and a grocery store were also affected.
The reported damage highlights the wider impact of the Rostov Region missile attack, with both residential and commercial properties affected.
