Putin arrives in Vladivostok for Eastern Economic Forum 2026, with meetings on Far East development and the EEF plenary session on September 3.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Vladivostok to participate in the Eastern Economic Forum 2026, The Times of Russia reported. The Russian president is scheduled to take part in several events during the forum, including discussions on the development of the Far Eastern Federal District.

The visit comes as the Eastern Economic Forum prepares for its main plenary session on September 3. Putin is also expected to meet foreign guests participating in the event.

Putin Arrives in Vladivostok for Eastern Economic Forum Meetings

On September 2, Putin will chair a meeting focused on the development of the Far Eastern Federal District on the sidelines of the EEF. During the meeting, he will receive a briefing on the results of the macroregion’s development.

Following the briefing, several new enterprises will be launched through a video link.

The events form part of the Russian president’s programme during the Eastern Economic Forum 2026 in Vladivostok.

Eastern Economic Forum Plenary Session on September 3

The central event of the forum, the EEF plenary session September 3, is scheduled to take place on September 3.

Putin will be joined at the plenary session by several international leaders and senior officials. Participants include Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Mongolian Prime Minister Nyam-Osoryn Uchral, Myanmar First Vice President Nyo Saw, and Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang.

The participation of these foreign guests is part of the forum’s programme in Vladivostok.

Putin to Hold Bilateral Meetings with Foreign Guests

During his visit, Putin is also scheduled to conduct bilateral meetings with foreign guests attending the Eastern Economic Forum.

The meetings will take place alongside the forum’s main programme and the discussions concerning the development of the Far Eastern Federal District.

The Vladimir Putin Vladivostok visit therefore includes both the EEF’s central plenary session and meetings related to regional development and international engagement.

The Eastern Economic Forum 2026 is being held in Vladivostok, with September 2 marking Putin’s arrival and participation in events connected with the forum.
