World Public Summit India 2026: Dr. Jaan Nissar Lone Honored at Global Dialogue on a New World Order

New Delhi, March 23–26, 2026

The World Public Summit India 2026, held under the theme “New World: India in the Architecture of a Common Future,” brought together global leaders, thinkers, and changemakers in New Delhi for a meaningful dialogue on humanity’s shared future. Organized by the World Peoples Assembly in collaboration with the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the summit served as a powerful platform to advance the idea of a “New World of Conscious Unity.”

The event witnessed participation from representatives across civil society, academia, business, culture, and youth from over 20 countries. At the heart of the summit was a collective effort to translate shared human values into practical, actionable frameworks, particularly drawing from India’s rich cultural and philosophical traditions.

The summit focused on strengthening people-to-people diplomacy and building long-term cooperation across the Global South. It aimed to develop concrete regional initiatives and working models that could contribute to the upcoming Second World Public Summit: “A New World – Values That Unite.”

A key highlight was the leadership of Ms. Svetlana Smirnova, Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly, whose vision continues to guide global humanitarian dialogue rooted in trust, respect, and cooperation.

Throughout the summit, discussions moved beyond theory and into real-world application—bringing together voices from diverse sectors to explore how culture, leadership, media, economy, and diplomacy can collectively shape a more connected and conscious world. There was a strong emphasis on the role of cultural identity and spiritual values in building trust, the responsibility of media in shaping narratives, and the need for leadership that is grounded in service and inclusivity. Equally important was the recognition that innovation must go hand-in-hand with tradition, and that meaningful global progress depends on collaboration—not just between governments, but between people, communities, and ideas.

A significant moment during the summit was the Award Ceremony of the International Contest “Leader of Public Diplomacy” (India Stage), held at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi.

The World Peoples Assembly honored individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to strengthening international cooperation and dialogue. Among the distinguished recognitions was the felicitation of Dr. Jaan Nissar Lone, Global President of the BRICS Culture Media Forum (BCMF), for his remarkable work in advancing cultural diplomacy and global engagement.

Accepting the award on his behalf, Ms. Semran Parvaiz, Director of Special Projects at BCMF, delivered a compelling message emphasizing the transformative power of culture:
“Culture can unite where politics sometimes cannot… stories can build bridges where borders divide… and dialogue can heal where silence creates distance.”

The recognition of Dr. Jaan Nissar Lone, Global President of the BRICS Culture Media Forum (BCMF), marked more than an individual achievement—it reflected the growing relevance of culture as a force in international engagement. In his absence, the message conveyed by Semran Parvaiz, Director of Special Projects at BCMF, offered a clear insight into how cultural platforms are increasingly shaping global conversations.
Rather than positioning culture as a symbolic element, BCMF’s approach places it at the center of dialogue—where stories, artistic expression, and shared narratives become tools of connection in a fragmented world. Initiatives such as the UMMA Awards (Ubiquitous Movies and Music Awards) are being developed not merely as recognition platforms, but as spaces where creative voices from different regions converge, interact, and redefine what global cultural exchange can look like.

This vision extends into a series of ambitious projects that move beyond conventional formats. From “Mahabharata: Symphony of Global Peace”, which reimagines civilizational wisdom in a contemporary global context, to upcoming productions like “Genghis Khan” and “Mast Malang,” BCMF is actively exploring how storytelling can transcend borders and engage audiences across cultures.
What emerges from this approach is a consistent idea: that culture is not peripheral to diplomacy—it is increasingly becoming one of its most effective instruments.

This direction is expected to gain further momentum with the upcoming BRICS Investment Forum, scheduled in New Delhi on April 30, 2026. By bringing together stakeholders across sectors, the forum aims to strengthen the link between economic collaboration and cultural understanding—an intersection that is likely to define the next phase of global partnerships.

The World Public Summit India 2026 stood as a testament to the growing importance of public diplomacy, cultural dialogue, and collective responsibility in shaping the future of our world.
In an era marked by divisions, the Semran Parvaiz reinforced a simple yet powerful idea:
“Beyond nations, beyond languages, beyond differences, humanity is deeply interconnected, and together, we have the power to create something truly extraordinary.”
