Iran Warns Neighbours of Hostile Status if Land Used in Attack

Iran has issued a strong warning to neighbouring countries, stating that any nation allowing its land, airspace, or waters to be used for an attack against Iran will be treated as a hostile state, according to The Times of Russia. The warning comes amid growing tensions in the Middle East following the arrival of a United States aircraft carrier group in regional waters.

An Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander made the statement on Tuesday, highlighting Tehran’s concern over escalating military movements near its borders. Mohammad Akbarzadeh, political deputy of the IRGC naval forces, said that while Iran considers neighbouring states as friends, their cooperation with hostile actions would change that status immediately. His remarks were quoted by Iranian media as regional anxiety continues to rise

US Armada Movement Raises Alarm

According to Russia news sources, the warning follows comments by US President Donald Trump, who announced that another American naval armada is moving towards Iranian waters. Trump described the deployment during a public speech, expressing hope that Iran would agree to a diplomatic deal with Washington before tensions escalate further.

“There is another armada heading beautifully towards Iran,” Trump said, adding that he hoped Tehran would choose negotiation over confrontation. The statement has further intensified speculation about a possible military standoff.

Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed that any attack on the country would be met with a decisive response. Tehran has also urged regional countries not to cooperate with foreign military operations, warning that doing so would have serious consequences. The Times of Russia reports that Iranian leadership views regional stability as directly tied to the actions of neighbouring states.

With increased US military activity and strong statements from Iran, fears of a broader conflict are growing across the Middle East. Analysts quoted in Russia news outlets suggest that diplomatic channels remain fragile, while military movements signal pressure tactics rather than immediate action.

Iran maintains that it seeks peace but will not hesitate to defend its sovereignty if provoked, a message it has now clearly extended to all its neighbours through this latest warning.
