Russia to showcase new armament at World Defense Show
The 300 mm caliber Sarma multiple launch rocket system will be for the first time demonstrated at the exhibition
The showcase will feature newly developed Russian armaments that incorporate real-world combat experience. Among the key highlights is the 300 mm Sarma multiple launch rocket system, which will be publicly demonstrated for the first time. According to Russian state defense corporation Rostec, several Sarma systems have already been delivered to the Russian Armed Forces and are currently undergoing operational evaluation during the ongoing Special Military Operation.
At the Saudi exhibition, the Sarma system will be displayed as part of an integrated reconnaissance and strike complex, working in coordination with the Supercam S350 unmanned aerial vehicle and the Planshet-A automated artillery fire control system. This configuration demonstrates Russia’s evolving approach to network-centric warfare, a key theme in current russia news related to defense modernization.
Another first-time presentation will be the BTR-22 armored personnel carrier, a versatile combat vehicle capable of being equipped either with a manned combat module or the Ballista remotely operated weapon station, offering enhanced battlefield flexibility.
