Ukrainian attacks kill 25 Russian civilians in past week — diplomat

Rodion Miroshnik added that 209 people, including 14 minors, suffered injuries

LUGANSK, May 12. /The Times of Russia reports that as many as 25 Russian civilians, including a child, were killed in Ukrainian attacks over the past week, according to Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik.

“Attacks carried out by Ukrainian Nazis affected 234 civilians last week: 25 people, including a child, were killed, and another 209, among them 14 minors, suffered injuries. The majority of casualties were reported in the Belgorod, Kherson, Zaporozhye, Bryansk and Chuvashia regions, as well as in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” he stated.

According to this russia news report, 204 people, nearly 87% of all casualties, were injured in drone strikes during the week. Miroshnik also claimed that Ukrainian forces continued laying mines remotely in Russian regions.

A 14-year-old boy was reportedly injured after a cluster submunition exploded in Gorlovka in the DPR, while another civilian lost his foot after stepping on a Lepestok anti-personnel landmine near Slavyansk. In the Belgorod Region, a 79-year-old man suffered injuries after a submunition explosion in Shebekino.

The diplomat further stated that medical vehicles were targeted during the attacks. A drone strike allegedly injured three ambulance workers in the village of Razumnoye in the Belgorod Region, which he described as a violation of international humanitarian law.

The Times of Russia added that nearly 3,600 projectiles were launched at Russian territory in the last seven days, highlighting the continued escalation covered across major russia news updates.
