“These were substantive talks over the weekend, both in Kiev and in Moscow,” Rubio said.
The US Secretary of State was referring to a recent trip to Russia and Ukraine by US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
