Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews, Trump emphasized that the US has been spending vast amounts—“trillions of dollars”—to support NATO, primarily in efforts aimed at countering Russia. He questioned the long-term value of such spending, suggesting that the strategy may no longer align with current geopolitical realities.
