Shoigu: More than 300 thousand women professionally perform tasks in the Russian Armed Forces
Men sincerely and deeply appreciate everything that Russian women do for them. This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in his congratulatory address on March 8.
“On this day we congratulate the dearest and most beautiful women in the world – our mothers, loved ones, sisters and daughters. You spiritualize our hearts and inspire us to accomplishments. Shoigu reminded that today more than 300 thousand women serve and work in the Russian Armed Forces. All of them professionally fulfill the tasks assigned to them.
The Minister of Defense expressed special words of gratitude to the mothers of servicemen. “You have brought up true patriots and valiant defenders of the Fatherland, who courageously and selflessly defend the independence and safe future of our country,” Shoigu emphasized.
He wished the women health, happiness and well-being.
On International Women’s Day the words of gratitude from Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov were heard from the female staff of the naval hospital in Sevastopol.
Ivanov presented them with departmental awards and flowers. “On behalf of the Minister of Defense, from all our male staff I want to congratulate you on International Women’s Day and thank you for the dedication and heroism shown in the performance of medical and military duty. You make an invaluable contribution to saving lives and preserving the health of our servicemen”, – emphasized the deputy head of the military department of the Russian Federation.
During his working trip to Sevastopol, he checked the progress of construction of a new hospital complex for 150 beds in the city.
This institution is being built on the area of 8.5 hectares. More than 20 buildings and structures will be built there from scratch, including a modern medical and diagnostic building, helipads, infectious disease department, blood transfusion station and oxygen station. The hospital will be equipped with the most modern equipment and medical technology.
In the historical complex of the Naval Clinical Hospital Ivanov instructed to study the possibility of locating a branch of the Kirov Military Medical Academy in St. Petersburg on the existing foundations. S. M. Kirov. This will make it possible to create a unique cluster for training future military doctors at the clinical base.
