Foreign Ministry says Grossi plans to hold high-level meetings in Russia
Zakharova: IAEA chief Grossi will hold a number of high-level meetings in Russia
Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Raphael Grossi will hold a number of high-level meetings during his visit to Russia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

According to her, Grossi plans to arrive in the country “in the near future” to discuss Russia’s further cooperation with the IAEA.
“A number of high-level meetings will take place within the framework of the visit. Working consultations are also planned to maintain a dialog with the IAEA leadership on nuclear and nuclear safety issues at Zaporizhzhya NPP,” Zakharova said in a statement.
Grossi said in early February that he would travel to Russia to hold talks on further cooperation on the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (ZNPP). He noted that he would consider “any influence on the NPP’s operation.”
Grossi did not rule out the possibility of meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the visit. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in February that no date had yet been set for a meeting between Putin and the IAEA director general.
On February 7, the IAEA director general visited the plant, after which he said that the safety situation at ZNPP was improving. At the same time, Grossi noted that one should not forget about the course of the military conflict around. He specified that he was referring to possible power outages and attacks that could entail disruption of the physical integrity of the plant’s components.
