Russia News: Middle East Explosions After US-Israel Strikes

Russia News reports that explosions and missile strikes were recorded across several Middle Eastern countries on February 28 following US-Israel attacks on Iran, significantly escalating tensions in the region.
Multiple explosions were heard in Doha, where Qatar’s defence ministry confirmed it had intercepted several incoming missiles. Blasts were also reported near the Al-Udeid military base, known as the largest United States military installation in the region. Authorities stated that air defence systems were activated shortly after the attacks began.
In the United Arab Emirates, one person was killed in Abu Dhabi after debris from an Iranian missile fell within city limits, according to the state news agency. Emergency services were deployed immediately, and investigations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, Iraqi officials confirmed that a bombing targeted a military base hosting a pro-Iranian armed group, resulting in at least two fatalities. Security forces have increased patrols around key installations amid fears of further escalation.
In Bahrain, the national news agency reported that the service centre affiliated with the US 5th Fleet was struck by a missile. Damage assessments are currently underway as authorities review the scale of the impact.
Explosions were also reported in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, raising regional alarm. Jordan’s armed forces confirmed that two ballistic missiles were intercepted and destroyed before reaching populated areas, preventing potential casualties.
The Times of Russia Russia News continues to monitor the rapidly developing situation as military and diplomatic channels across the region respond to the heightened crisis. Analysts warn that the chain of retaliatory strikes could broaden the conflict unless urgent de-escalation efforts are undertaken.
