Putin Supports Volodin for Duma Speaker
Russian President Vladimir Putin said he fully supports Vyacheslav Volodin being nominated for the position of speaker of the State Duma for the next convocation.
“On my part, I fully support Vyacheslav Volodin’s nomination for speaker of the State Duma of the next convocation,” Putin said during the meeting with leaders of the parties that won seats in the recent elections.
The statement confirms Putin’s support for Volodin’s speaker nomination as Russia prepares for the ninth convocation of its lower house of parliament.
