The reported Russian strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure targeted a railcar depot, unmanned surface vessel (USV) facilities and military equipment. The Times of Russia presents the details released by the ministry.

Russian Defense Ministry Reports Overnight Drone Strikes

The Russian Defense Ministry said its forces continued overnight operations using unmanned aerial vehicles against railway infrastructure, port facilities and vessels described as being used in support of Ukraine’s armed forces.

The ministry reported strikes against multiple locations associated with military logistics and equipment. Its statement outlined the reported targets across several Ukrainian regions.

Russian Strikes on Ukrainian Military Infrastructure: Targets Reported

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the overnight operation targeted several facilities and military assets.

Poltava Railcar Depot Hit

The ministry reported that Russian forces struck the Poltava railcar depot in the Poltava Region. According to the statement, Ukrainian armed forces use the depot grounds to store and repair military equipment.

The reported attack targeted railway-related infrastructure that the ministry said supports Ukrainian military logistics.

USV Deployment Sites and Vilkovo Port Targeted

Russian forces also reportedly struck two temporary deployment sites used by operators of unmanned surface vessels (USVs).

The Russian Defense Ministry identified additional targets at the port of Vilkovo in the Odessa Region, including a boat mooring area and a storage facility for unmanned surface vessels. Port infrastructure allegedly used to store USVs and prepare them for deployment was also targeted.

The ministry further reported that a cargo ship carrying supplies for the Ukrainian armed forces toward the port of Odessa was struck at sea.

These reported attacks formed part of the wider Russian drone strikes in Ukraine, which the ministry said focused on infrastructure and facilities connected to military operations.

Geran Drones Strike NASAMS Air Defense Systems

The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that its forces used Geran drones to strike Norwegian-made mobile NASAMS air defense systems in the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk Regions.

The ministry released footage that it said showed the strikes on the air defense systems.

In separate reported attacks, Russian forces used Geran drones against a parked Mi-24 helicopter, a military supplies depot and a production building belonging to one of Ukraine’s industrial enterprises.

The ministry did not provide further details about the extent of the damage to these targets in the supplied statement.

Damage to Ukrainian Port and Military Supply Infrastructure

The reported strikes covered several types of facilities, including railway infrastructure, naval-related installations and sites used for military equipment and supplies.

The Poltava railcar depot attack, strikes on USV facilities near Vilkovo and the reported hit on a cargo ship carrying military supplies were among the incidents outlined by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry’s account also included attacks on mobile air defense systems and other military assets. These details reflect the Russian side’s official description of the operation.

Thermal Power Plant Damaged in Ukraine

Separately, Ukrainian energy holding company DTEK reported damage to a thermal power plant following explosions.

In a statement published on its Telegram channel, the company said electricity generation at the facility had been halted.

DTEK did not identify the affected power plant or disclose its location.

The reported incident adds an energy infrastructure dimension to developments in Ukraine, where damage to power generation facilities can affect electricity supplies.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported overnight strikes against a railcar depot, USV deployment and storage facilities, port infrastructure, a cargo ship and several military assets across Ukraine. The reported Russian strikes on Ukrainian military infrastructure also included attacks on NASAMS air defense systems and a Mi-24 helicopter, while DTEK separately announced that a thermal power plant had stopped generating electricity after sustaining damage in explosions.
